If there is a poor average response time for a particular user, as one of the preliminary check, it is advisable to check the ping response of end user PC from any of the relevant SAP application servers . You can do the same by logging into SAP -> ST06 - > Detail Analysis Menu - > Lan Check by Ping - > Active Presentation Servers -> Select the host -> 10x Ping

This is the easiest way to check whether there are any data loss between the end user PC and the SAP application server.

Getting list of application servers attached to Message Server

An easy step to get the list of application server attached to message server, if the list is empty, then there could be a potential problem in distributing the load.

Do you want to freeze the transport in your landscape? Here is a very simple step that can help you to freeze the export / import of a specific system / complete landscape.

Stop Exports :

Create a file named T_OFF.ALL (or) T_OFF. under \bin

Stop Imports :

 

Create a file with name NOIMPORT.ALL (or) NOIMPORT. under \bin

Avoid Windows Text Editor

Do you want to avoid opening Winword while calling the text editor from Tcodes/Smartforms/SAPScripts?

Symptom : In some of the transaction codes, if there is a provision to open a text editor, by default, it will open up Microsoft Winword which might result in slow performance  on a low ended PCs/Desktops. If you want to avoid opening winword, you may use report rscpseteditor to activate / deactivate the winword as the default editor.
