Unable to Connect to Service

Following error is encountered while opening WebI / Dashboard document (which is based on QaaWS),

Unable to connect to service WebiPlugin.WebiSession from server :6400 via CMS osca:iiop://:;SI_SESSIONID=3817487098iweuvkKwkjfsa (FWM 01006)

Solution :

1. Dashboards based o n QaaWS do  not release the session once it is closed, Refer OSS Note : 1744668 to apply the necessary patches.

2. It is also recommended to increase the  number of connections parameter in CMC for Web Intelligence Processing Server

CMC - > Servers - > Web Intelligence - > Right click on WebI Processing Server - > Properties - > Number of Connections (refer article from Matthew Shaw in SDN to tune the parameter with the proper values http://scn.sap.com/people/matthew.shaw/blog/2011/04/06/performance-tips-getting-the-most-out-of-your-web-intelligence-processing-servers)
